Life Lately

life lately

I’ve recently become way more active on Instagram. It’s been fun sharing a behind-the-scenes look of this blog and sharing even more things food and film related. For those who don’t have Instagram, I thought I’d share what my life lately has looked like. For those of you who do have it, follow me here!

1. I tried my first black and white cookie, and it wasn’t at all what I thought it’d taste like. A lot puffier than I imagined.

2. Sushi dinners are a great way to end the week. I can’t get enough fatty tuna.

3. Sunday mornings at Morgenstern’s. No shame in eating ice cream for breakfast.

4. I visited the Mad Men exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image and stepped into the world of Mad Men. Recognize this kitchen? It was Betty and Don’s in the house they used to share.

5. Healthy lunches don’t have to be time-consuming. Pop raw fish and veggies into a 450 degree Fahrenheit oven for 10-12 minutes and voila! Lunch is ready.

6. Snowdays is such treat. When you feel like having shaved ice cream with toppings galore (Pocky, mochi, syrup, chocolate, granola, fruit, you name it), this is the place to go.

What has your film and food life looked like lately?

My Life Lately

may 2014

Clearly I have been doing a lot of eating, as most, if not all, of my photos have food in them. If the food is worthy, it deserves a picture. As told by Instagram (you can follow me here!), this has been my life lately.

1. Tried out a new Ramen restaurant, and it was delightful. Authentic and delicious.

2. When you feel a cold coming on, warm lemon water with ginger never fails.

3. Interviewed an awesome woman in her “office.” Isn’t it beautiful?

4. Snacking on a big bowl of red cherries.

5. Brunch at Tallulah’s is out of this world. Their organic blueberry pancake is the best I’ve ever had anywhere.

6. The flowers at Pike Place Market are stunning. I want to take them all home with me.

My Life Lately

april 2014

Last weekend involved a quick trip to the East Coast to support my rockstar sister and watch her run a half marathon. I was exhausted just watching her cross the finish line, but it was such a proud sister moment. 13.1 miles – that is no easy feat. Anyways, the trip involved a lot of eating, as usual. As told by instagram (you can follow me here!), this has been my life lately.

1. Warm salted caramel apple pie with vanilla bean ice cream just might be the perfect Friday pick-me-up.

2. Almost finished with Ariana Huffington’s ThriveThis quote stood out to me: The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another. – William James. Important (but not easy) to remember.

3. These D.C. townhouses are stop-dead-in-your-tracks-stunning. The basket of flowers on the door is too pretty. When can I move in?

4. You can’t not get cupcakes when you walk by Sprinkles. I mean, come on.

5. Room service is one of life’s overlooked luxuries. Just look at those cookies!

6. Stopping for a quick picture of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial while trying to find my sister as she ran 13.1 miles. No big deal.
